The National Golf Foundation has on record the handicaps of all golfers; and it is clear that golfers do not improve!
Do you really want to get better at golf? Why can you play one day better than another? Or, all of a sudden, your great round turns into a disaster! Is there one thing that can change everything? Not really, but there is one thing that can only help and that is playing with confidence. Your brain has so much control over the outcome of every shot. If you are thinking about negative thoughts, your outcomes will probably be bad! If you have a positive attitude, you are at least giving yourself a better chance to execute. Control your breathing, pumping more oxygen into the brain will help! Relaxation is another way; tension will only cause you to tighten up and not swing freely. Isn’t it amazing how a bad shot will stay in your thoughts more than a great one? Let it go and move on! Make your practice session as specific as it can be for the conditions that you are going to compete under. Lastly, smile, laugh and try to have fun!
